The Balanced Life retreat takes place in a smart, spacious house in vibrant Falmouth, Cornwall, and the atmosphere is more akin to a group of friends spending a long weekend together than a course at a hotel. You'll go on walks and have the opportunity to swim in the sea. There will be time to relax and connect with your fellow participants, including over a delicious home cooked group meal. Since the venue doubles as a B&B you can even stay a little longer to see more of the area should you wish.

What you'll cover
Thursday
4pm onwards: Arrival. Decompress from your journey, and/or go for dinner in Falmouth.
Friday
Starting at 9.30am you and your course-mates will be guided through a series of workshops designed to enable you to envision the life you truly want for yourself and your goals for the next twelve months. With the ‘big’ stuff covered you’ll move on to explore everything else that makes life meaningful according to Martin Seligman’s PERMA model, from leisure to relationships.
After lunch we’ll drive to the sea front for a walk and talk, finishing the day with a ‘You and Your Health’ session on rest, finishing by 5.15pm. The evening will be yours to do as you wish.
Saturday
Before starting those who want can join their host for a refreshing dip in the sea, or to take a walk instead.
Starting at 10.00am you'll continue the ‘You and Your Health’ section ending with a review of which areas of your life most warrant attention because they’re out of balance with the rest. A full session on goals and how to achieve them will take you up to lunch.
Having covered your ‘what’ and ‘why’ the afternoon sessions will guide you on ‘how’ you can bring about the changes you desire with workshops on mind based and emotional barriers finishing with a first session on that all important topic - time management.
You’ll finish the day slightly earlier around 4.15pm to give you some free time before reconvening at 7.00pm for a group meal at the venue.
Sunday
Starting at 9.30am you'll wind up the ‘how’ part of the course workshopping effective methods for getting things done and other obstacles and their solutions.
After the break a thought provoking session on what really matters to you will be followed by a workshop that explores how you can find greater peace by embracing your finitude and the tools and approaches that can help you, drawing on the work of Oliver Burkeman.
Lunch will be followed by some group coaching so you’re clear about your next steps, and the course will finish at 4.00pm with a celebration of all that you've learned and are committing to change going forward. You can then either head home or relax if you've opted to stay an extra night.

Hello. I’m Mark, founder of Headspace Coaching+. I’m a qualified coach, trainer, and facilitator who has been providing coaching and training since 2012. This retreat is my way of giving you the most vital knowledge, wisdom, and experience I've amassed from years studying and applying personal development to myself and others. I hope you'll enjoy this retreat as much for the hospitality you'll receive as for the positive changes it enables you to make.

To reserve your place on this retreat please contact me using the form below stating which room you'd like (for photos of the rooms please see Gallery). I will send you a booking form, the T&Cs, and you'll be required to pay a 20% deposit (refundable up to fourteen days before the start date).
